Nominations for the 2011 Edublog awards are now open. The purpose of the Edublog awards is to promote and demonstrate the educational values of educational blogs. 

Here are our nominations:

• Best individual blog: Film English a great site by Kieran Donaghy promoting the use of film in education.
• Best individual tweeter: ij64 Tweets by Ian James
• Best ed tech / resource sharing blog: tefltecher excellent teaching technology posts and lesson plans by Ian James.
• Best teacher blog: Film English a great site by Kieran Donaghy with a wealth of meticulous lesson plans and other resources.
• Best educational use of audio / video / visual / podcast: Film English a site by Kieran Donaghy dedicated to the use of short film in the classroom
• Best educational use of a social network: Teaching English Facebook page a great user-friendly social network page, moderated by Ann Foreman.
